Scope of Tax Extension Services & Important Disclaimers
  • Limitation of Liability: Anderson assumes no liability or responsibility for unfiled local extensions, late filings resulting from incomplete or untimely information provided by the client, or any interest, penalties, or additions to tax assessed by Federal, State, or local tax authorities.
  • Scope of Coverage: Anderson Business Advisors (“Anderson”) processes extension requests exclusively for Federal and State tax jurisdictions. Anderson does not monitor, prepare, or file city, local, or municipal tax extensions. If your business or personal filings require local extensions, you are solely responsible for identifying applicable deadlines, completing required paper forms, and submitting them directly to the appropriate municipal authority.
  • Payment Responsibility: An extension of time to file a tax return is NOT an extension of time to pay taxes owed. Anderson is not responsible for submitting tax payments on your behalf for Federal, State, city, or municipal taxes. Remitting all estimated tax payments, balance-due amounts, and associated fees is strictly the client’s responsibility. To avoid penalties and interest, all estimated tax obligations must be paid directly to the governing tax authority on or before the original statutory due date.
